Sept. 23/22

Div. 11 has settled very well into our classroom routines.  Thank you for helping your child to return their planners daily.  You'll notice today that instead of a book, your child has brought home their Poetry, Songs, Math Games and More duotangs.  Please see the letter inside and return these each Monday.  Also thanks to everyone who has paid the school supply and planner fees, and for filling out the consent forms on the parent portal.  If you have not done these things please do so asap.

Our Name Boggle is going very well.  The students are becoming more skilled at creating lots of words with each special helper's names.  I'd also like to thank families for continuing this activity at home and then returning them.  So far our record is 82 words!

Library books have come home today.  Every Friday is our book exchange, students are able to keep them home for that time.  Please use the large ziplock at all times to protect the book.

Fairview's Terry Fox run was a success!  The students have been busy with Mrs. Holmes decorating shoes that now look great going up and down our hallway.  Donations can still be made online or brought in all next week.  ***I forgot to give students their Terry Fox tattoos so they will be in their secret pouch of their planners on Monday.

Volunteers are needed:

If you are able to help out with some odd jobs at home like organizing Scholastic, cutting or preparing class  activities etc please write send me an email or write a note in the planner.  Thank you in advance.

Reminders:

Please remember that Div. 11 is a nut free zone so please ensure that you are not sending any foods that contain nuts.  Thanks for your support with this important medical allergy.

Any students interested in joining the choir with Dr. Saul please get a permission slip and return to him before it starts next week.

Cross Country Running Club is starting on Tuesday and Thursday. Students that were interested are bringing home a letter today that should be signed and returned.  More information is on the parent portal.  I am one of the coaches for cross country so on those days if you are running a bit late for pickup your child will be at the office.
